How Alfaaz uses AI

Updated 23 October 2026

AI in Alfaaz helps with three things: reading a poem from a picture, translating it by its meaning, and timing captions to your voice. Everything else, including making the reel, happens on your phone.

Your permission comes first

The first time you use an AI feature, Alfaaz tells you what will be sent and to which service, and asks for your permission. If you say no, the feature uses your phone instead where it can (on-device text recognition, offline translation, or captions timed from the rhythm of your voice), or stays off. You can change your choice later in Settings.

What is sent, to whom

AI captionsThe recitation's sound (not the video) and the poem's wordsOur captioning serviceDeleted after processing, within 24 hours at most; never used for training

Your account details are never sent to these services. Our server sends each request on your behalf, so they do not receive your device's address.

What AI does not do in Alfaaz

AI can be wrong

Urdu and Hindi poetry is subtle. A reading can miss a word, a translation can miss the poet's point, and a caption can land a moment early. Every result is editable before you make your reel; please check it.

Report a problem

If an AI result is offensive, harmful or badly wrong, tap the report option next to it in the app, or write to support@getalfaaz.app. We review every report and use them to improve our filters and prompts.

Limits

Free use includes 5 picture reads, 5 translations and 2 minutes of AI captions a month, per phone. Alfaaz Creators include more. We may adjust these.
